Tracking Calorie Intake to Lose Weight…. My Story So Far….

Now that I have given you an example of a success story in how you can track and reduce calorie intake to lose weight (my hubby’s story), I will share mine.

I’m 29 years old….. I would say that the topic of weight management has been a daily part of my life for about 21 of those 29 years. Sad, isn’t it?

I was not a fat kid. I was not a scrawny kid. As a teenager I was a normal size, though already by junior high I was trying to drink as much diet coke as possible (to fill me up with zero calories), and excruciatingly aware of everything I ate…..

By high school I was — though still not at all fat – smoking cigarettes along with my diet coke in order to suppress my appetite, buying Dexatrim diet pills weekly at the local drug store, refusing to eat meat or cheese because it was fattening, and sporadically abusing laxatives in order to counteract my occasional pizza pop lunch at the school cafeteria.

When I started University, I fell classic victim to the “freshy fifteen”, except in my case it was more like “freshy thirty”! All of a sudden I found myself living on my own and able to eat all those “bad” foods that was she there, my mother would have given me grief for eating.

At 29 I realized that I’m really fat, and now I’m not so “hot” anymore. My sex drive has diminished. My confidence is gone. It’s time to get back on track…..

I tried Herbal Magic. What a waste of money! All I got out of that was more guilt and a lot of aggravation as they called me at home, they called on my cell, and they called me at work. The more pressure they put on me to buy their magic pills and tell them what I ate, the more trips to McDonalds I made! Then I went back to the good ‘ol Weight Watchers route…… But something about that doesn’t sit right with me; I just can’t relate to all the 60 year old women in there…. I also have a job in which I work MANY hours and don’t find it easy to get out of the office in time to make meetings.

I realized I have to do this independently by reducing calorie intake to lose weight…. Then one day I found Strip That Fat. It took me back to tracking and reducing calorie intake to lose weight.

I now realize that I need to use the calorie intake to lose weight method because it’s the only way for me to feel both in total control, but also gives me enough freedom that I can choose for myself what to eat!

With Strip That Fat to give me tips, info, tracking methods, recipes, etc, I have been reducing calorie intake to lose weight for 12 days now and have already lost 8 pounds!!!

I feel like I’m in control of myself again! I still have a really long way to go (I want to lose about 65 more pounds!) but for the first time in a long, long time I know I’m going to be successful! So stay tuned as I reduce calorie intake to lose weight!
